I'm Back! My little ol' opinion on tonight's SYTYCD

So here's my take on tonight's show. (It's a little over 100 words tonight. Don't give me shit about that, alright?!)

First, let's talk about the obvious observation. I mean, really. It is SO obvious that Cat is drinking heavy doses of growth hormones. She has clearly grown 7" in one week, 6 1/2' in her legs alone. C'mon .. don't act like you didn't notice. Too bad because her outfit tonight was full of FAIL. Oh well, on to the show.

The show opened with a Ryan and Kathryn disco number. The routine was great. I couldn't take my eyes off Ryan's shirt and not in a good way. Fashion FAIL.  Hideous. In other news, I agree with Mary, Kathyn is peaking at the right time.

Next up Jakob and Mollie did a Viennese waltz. No, the next line is NOT 'zzzzzzzzzzzz'. The next line is GORGEOUS. Seriously... gorgeous lighting, gorgeous music, gorgeous costumes. Lotta gorgeous!

In my favorite number of the night, Legacy/Ellenore did a Travis Wall number. (no, that is not a typo. I said 'favorite' and 'Legacy' in the same sentence.) FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. Hot Hot HAWT HAWTNESS. Beautiful choreography, but smokin' hot chemistry. Seriously good stuff Travis!

Russell, in my opinion, got a double screw tonight. His partner got hurt and he had to dance a really crappy Shane Sparks number with an equally crappy assistant. He tried to make it work, he did a respectable job with what he got. But what he got = shit.

Next up was a Ryan and Kathryn ChaCha. I don't know about you, but I felt a little like a peeping tom watching. I mean, seriously, their chemistry registered on the Richter scale. It was raawwwrrrrrrr..... still a little hot over it now.

Jakob and Mollie danced a Broadway number that was spot on. I really really really have not liked Mollie all season. I wasn't even a fan of her making the Top 20. But I have to eat my words AGAIN this week. She continues to surprise. Of course, Jakob as always = perfection.

And in my least favorite moment of the night, Legacy & Ellenore did a freaking WEIRD number. I did not get it. I did not like it. Sorry NappyTabs. The costumes looked like gigantic condoms, the choreography was haphazard (that is being nice), and the concept .. well .. sucked.

To close the show, Russell did a Bollywood number. I thought he did REALLY well, but I think the judges' praise was a bit effusive. 

My prediction: I think Ashleigh and Russell will be up on the blocks. I don't want those results, but that's what I think it will be. Unless Ashleigh gets the sympathy vote, I think she will get lost in the shuffle. I definitely don't think Russell deserves it, but he got screwed left and right and I think votes will reflect that.
